The first alpha of the Wily Werewolf (to become 15.10) has now been released!
This alpha features images for Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu MATE, UbuntuKylin and the Ubuntu Cloud images. Pre-releases of the Wily Werewolf are not encouraged for anyone needing a stable system or anyone who is not comfortable running into occasional, even frequent breakage. They are, however, recommended for Ubuntu flavor developers and those who want to help in testing, reporting and fixing bugs as we work towards getting this release ready.
Alpha 1 includes a number of software updates that are ready for wider testing. This is quite an early set of images, so you should expect some bugs.

Today KDE released updates for its Workspaces, Applications and Development Platform. These updates continue the series of monthly stabilization updates to the 4.10 series. 4.10.4 updates bring many bugfixes and translation updates on top of the 4.10 release and are recommended updates for everyone running the 4.10 release series. As this release only contains bugfixes and translation updates, it will be a safe and pleasant update for everyone.

The over 50 recorded bugfixes include improvements to the Personal Information Management suite Kontact, the File Manager Dolphin, and others. The changes are listed on KDE's issue tracker. For a detailed list of changes that went into 4.10.4, you can browse the Subversion and Git logs.

After a decade-long run, Camino is no longer being developed, and we encourage all users to upgrade to a more modern browser. Camino is increasingly lagging behind the fast pace of changes on the web, and more importantly it is not receiving security updates, making it increasingly unsafe to use.

Fortunately, Mac users have many more browsers to choose from than they did when Camino started ten years ago. Former Camino developers have helped build the three most popular Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. so while this is the end of Camino itself, the community that helped build it is still making the web better for Mac users.

Thank you to all our loyal users, and to everyone who contributed in countless ways over the years to make Camino what it was.

Annunciato il rilascio di GCC (GNU Compiler Collection) 4.8.1

The GNU Compiler Collection version 4.8.1 has been released.

GCC 4.8.1 is the first bug-fix release containing important fixes for regressions and serious bugs in GCC 4.8.0 with over 91 bugs fixed since the previous release. Support for C++11 ref-qualifiers has been added to GCC 4.8.1, making G++ the first C++ compiler to implement all the major language features of the C++11 standard.
