Intel ha completato l'acquisizione di McAfee, nota società operante nel campo della sicurezza software, dopo aver ricevuto il via libera della Federal Trade Commission e dell'Unione Europea. L'annuncio in un comunicato sul sito di McAfee
We are very pleased to report that Intel completed its acquisition of McAfee today. The transaction cleared reviews by the US. Federal Trade Commission, the European Commission, and other regulatory bodies and received overwhelming votes of approvals from the appropriate boards of directors and stockholders.
L'acquisizione annunciata nell'agosto dello scorso anno comporterà un esborso di 7.68 miliardi di dollari per Intel.
