This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:

• Japanese language support for Siri (availability may be limited during initial rollout)
• Photos can now be deleted from Photo Stream
• Camera shortcut now always visible on Lock Screen for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (4th generation)
• Camera face detection now highlights all detected faces
• Redesigned Camera app for iPad
• Genius Mixes and Genius playlists for iTunes Match subscribers
• Audio for TV shows and movies on iPad optimized to sound louder and clearer
• Podcast controls for playback speed and a 30 second rewind for iPad
• Updated AT&T network indicator
• Addresses bugs affecting battery life
• Fixes an issue that occasionally caused audio to drop for outgoing calls

Apple ha rilasciato iOS 4.3, nuova versione del sistema operativo per iPhone, iPod e iPad.

New features in iOS 4.3 include faster Safari mobile browsing performance with the Nitro JavaScript engine; iTunes Home Sharing; enhancements to AirPlay; the choice of using the iPad side switch to either lock the screen rotation or mute the audio; and the Personal Hotspot feature for sharing an iPhone 4 cellular data connection over Wi-Fi.

Per quanto riguarda i cambiamenti introdotti il motore Nitro Javascript è stato integrato in WebKit, il layout engine di Safari.  Introdotti miglioramenti per Airplay, l'innovativa tecnologia wireless che consente agli utenti di trasmettere musica, foto e video per Apple TV. Con iOS 4.3 è possibile lo streaming di contenuti aggiuntivi, tra cui video da applicazioni di terze parti e siti web.
Il nuovo iTunes Home Sharing consente agli utenti di riprodurre musica, film e programmi TV su un iPhone, un iPad o un iPod touch, dalla propria libreria iTunes anche su un Mac o PC in una rete locale Wi-Fi.
Più di 10 miliardi di applicazioni sono state scaricate dall'App Store, e oltre 350.000 applicazioni sono disponibili, tra cui più di 65.000 applicazioni native iPad, per i consumatori di 90 paesi.
iOS 4.3 sarà disponibile per gli utenti iPad, iPhone e iPod touch come aggiornamento software gratuito a partire da venerdì 11 marzo. iOS 4.3 è compatibile con iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4 (GSM model).
